Immersion cooling is a practice by which IT components and other electronics, including complete servers, are submerged in a thermally conductive dielectric liquid or coolant. Heat is removed from the system by circulating liquid into direct contact with hot components through heat exchangers. Fluids suitable for immersion cooling have insulating properties to ensure that they can safely contact energized electronic components. Suitable dielectric fluids can absorb approximately 1500 times more heat energy than air with the same volumes and temperatures. Oupiin's QSFP28 or QSFP56 extender with QSFP28 or QSFP56 plug vs. QSFP cage is designed to be applied for immersion solution. It extends the 100G or 200G interfaces to the surface to realize the interconnection of 100G or 200G transceivers and AOC.
