What is ISO 14064 Certification?
ISO 14064 Certification is an internationally recognized standard focusing on the measurement, reporting, and verification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The certification is part of the ISO 14000 family of standards, which are aimed at promoting sustainable environmental management. Specifically, ISO 14064 provides guidelines for organizations to quantify and reduce their carbon footprint, enhancing transparency and credibility. Thankfully, it's easy to understand since it is divided into three parts:
Part 1 focuses on the specification and guidance of the organizational level's GHG emissions and removal reporting
Part 2 deals with GHG projects and provides principles for project-based reductions
Part 3 outlines the requirements for validating and verifying GHG assertions
